I’m an editor and writer with 15 years of experience in journalism (as well as another several years of prior experience in public/government relations work). My current work includes writing and editing for Oxygen.com, writing for Dame Magazine, editing for The News Station, editing for Substack writers, editing a book and providing editorial assistance for an upcoming app launch.
I was until recently an editor of NBC News THINK, where I edited essays and OpEds. I’ve worked on staff for Mic, Tribune Media, Guardian US, Raw Story, Talking Points Memo, Air America and Jezebel. I also provided editorial assistance on Roxane Gay’s anthology Not That Bad.
As a freelance writer for more than a decade, I served as a contributing editor of opinion at U.S. News and World Report and was a columnist at Dame. My work has also been published in Rolling Stone, Glamour, Esquire, The Baffler, The Week, The New Republic, Mic and in Roxane Gay’s pop-up magazine, Unruly Bodies. My writing has also been in the Washington Post, Ms. Magazine, CNN.com, Bitch Magazine, the Washington Independent, Bust Magazine, Rewire, Jalopnik, On The Issues, io9, Women’s eNews, Us Weekly, the Women’s Media Center, Foreign Policy and The Daily Beast. I was additionally a contributor to The Book of Jezebel and Milkfed Mastermind’s comic Bitch Planet (Issue 3).
I have more than two decades of experience in ghost writing, the development of white papers and one-pagers, speech writing, copy writing and social media strategy.
